The Great ShakeOut 2014 is Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the Great Washington Shake Out 2014! The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network and the Earth and Space Sciences Department at the University of Washington will participate in the ShakeOut. Please join us in the World's largest Earthquake Drill at 10:16 a.m.. This will be a great opportunity for participants to practice how to protect themselves during big earthquakes: "Drop, Cover and Hold On." We encourage everyone to review and update emergency preparedness plans and supplies, and to secure your space in order to prevent damage and injuries. If you cannot hold the ShakeOut drill at the official time, feel free set up another time on the 16th to run a drill. To learn more about the Great Washington ShakeOut, please visit their website at http://www.shakeout.org/washington.
The PNSN will set up tables in Johnson Hall lobby at UW to distribute ShakeOut materials and demonstrate "Drop, Cover and Hold On." You are welcome to share photos and videos from your #ShakeOut drill on social media by tagging @waShakeOut or using hashtag #WaShakeOut. Don't forget to take a #ShakeOutSelfie!
Let's help make Washington state safer!
