Happy anniversary ShakeAlert! Two years ago today, Washington joined Oregon and California in public alerting of #ShakeAlert earthquake early warning messages, ensuring the entire west coast is "Powered By ShakeAlert."
When public alerting went live two years ago, there were 404 stations in the PNSN. Now, there are 529, and we are excited to share that we are almost done with our network expansion! As of today, our network is 94% complete, with only 31 stations left to build.
